Severance pay when you leave a job

If you worked 1 year or more at the same company for 15+ hours a week, you are entitled to severance pay as a foreigner too: 30 days of average wages for each year worked. It should normally be paid within 14 days after you leave. E-9 (EPS) workers get it through the departure guarantee insurance their employer pays into, paid out when they leave Korea. If you are not paid or the amount looks wrong, call the Ministry of Employment and Labor (1350) or the foreign workers center (1577-0071).
같은 회사에서 1년 이상, 주 15시간 이상 일했다면 외국인도 퇴직금을 받아요. 일한 1년마다 30일분 평균임금이 기준이에요. 회사를 그만두면 원칙적으로 14일 안에 받아야 해요. E-9(고용허가제)는 회사가 들어 둔 출국만기보험으로 받는데, 한국을 떠날 때 받게 돼요. 못 받거나 금액이 이상하면 고용노동부 1350이나 외국인력상담센터 1577-0071에 상담하세요.
