Seogwipo Chilsimni Festival 2026 (Oct 23-25): Parade, Shows, Shuttles

Seogwipo's big autumn street festival fills the Cheonjiyeon Waterfall parking lot area in Jeju for three days only, Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October 2026, with a street parade, free concerts and night shows by the harbor.

Why go

• Free entry. Everything happens outdoors, and the festival is listed as free on Visit Korea.
• A real local festival. This is the 32nd edition, hosted by Seogwipo City. On opening day about 1,000 people from the city's 17 towns and neighborhoods march in costume, with a traditional military band.
• Something every evening. A drone light show on Friday, a retro DJ party and a horror maze on Saturday, and a laser show with rock band Crying Nut on Sunday.
• Food and local makers. Food trucks, a flea market and booths by local brands fill the site.
• Three days only. If you are in Jeju this weekend, this is the moment.

- 16:30 The street parade leaves Chowon Intersection and walks about 3 km through downtown and past the harbor to the festival site

Cost

• Entry is free.
• Food trucks and booths charge per item. Bring a card and a little cash.

Getting there

• Festival shuttles (recommended). Two routes run every 30 minutes, leaving their first stop between 11:00 and 20:00:
• City/West route: Seogwipo City Hall, Geolmae Football Field, Gobrew Beer Company, festival site
• East Coast route: Seogwipo Culture Plaza (former Civic Hall), Seobok Park, GS25 Seogwi Chilsimni, festival site
• The last shuttle back leaves the festival site at 21:35. Return shuttles stop at the same places in reverse.
• On Friday 17:00-19:00 the East Coast shuttle stops at GS25 Seogwi Chilsimni because of the parade. Walk to the site from there.
• City bus. The closest stop is Cheonjiyeon Falls (end of the line), served by buses 611, 612, 641, 642 and 880.
• Car. There are 11 public and temporary lots with 1,312 spaces in total around downtown, but space is limited, so the organizers recommend public transport. Navigate to "천지연폭포 주차장" (2-9 Namseongjung-ro).

Tips

• Friday traffic. Roads close section by section from 14:30 on Friday for the parade. Allow extra time around Cheonjiyeon, Jaguri Park and Seogwipo Port.
• Watch the parade from the sidewalk. Don't step into the road or cross between parade groups.
• After Friday's parade, the road from the Seogwipo Submarine car park toward Namseong Village entrance is one-way.
• Shuttle times depend on traffic. Save the timetable on your phone, and head back before the last 21:35 bus.
• The official website is in Korean. Check its notices for changes before you set off.
• Evenings by the sea get breezy in late October. Pack a light jacket.

Going alone?

omeetu's closest meetup spot is Jeju. Open a meetup there to find others heading to Seogwipo for the parade or an evening show. Meet first in a busy public place, and keep chats inside the app. Teen members have limits on meetups between 22:00 and 06:00, so plan an early return.
