Why can't I sign up for Kakao, Naver or delivery apps?

Most Korean apps verify you with a phone number registered in your own name. Once you have your residence card, change your phone plan to your own name at the carrier, and most sign-ups will work. Until then, use apps that allow email sign-up. Never use someone else's identity.
